Bradshaw Electric Vehicles has supplied Avon and Wiltshire Mental
Health Partnership NHS Trust with a tug to transport goods
between the 14 buildings on its site. The vehicle, a T10, is
used for moving food, clean linen and post.
Ed Portingale, xxx for the Trust, says: “We use the vehicle
for anything and everything – towing cages, the daily food
run and the post delivery. The vehicles are used daily on a site
that has approximately a one mile radius and they have to negotiate
hills and sleeping policemen on the way.”
The Trust chose the T10 from Bradshaw after
looking at two other vehicles. Ed adds: “My decision
to buy from them came down to the design of the vehicles and
the support offered. We have
had two very minor problems with the vehicles, and in both instances
an engineer was on site and the problem was sorted within 24
hours.”
Bradshaw Electric Vehicle’s T10 is
a versatile mid-range tow tractor, which tackles loads up to
10 tonnes. Automotive
style controls, power steering and all round suspension guarantee
a smooth and comfortable drive.
Safety features include electronic motor braking, four wheel
hydraulic braking, full road lights, and the tight turning circle
(2700mm) and good all round visibility makes it ideal for use
in restricted areas. The standard tow tractor has a typical working
speed of 14kph.
Minimal servicing is required for all Bradshaw vehicles, and
they are supported by a 12 month or 1000 hour warranty. Bradshaw
Electric Vehicles also guarantees a 24-hour response for parts
and labour throughout the UK.
Free driver familiarisation is included in the cost of the vehicle
and Bradshaw also offers a free site evaluation to determine
which vehicle is suitable for the task and environment.
